Brochure Design: It's all about the cover
A great brochure image is the key to a a successful design. The cover image, particularly for a 3-fold brochure, sets the tone & feeling of the brochure- of the message.
Another important factor is to use simple images for your cover. If the cover image too involved & complex, there are too many colours and lines competing for the reader's attention, hence creating a clutter.
The result: the message gets lost.Another important factor is to make sure that the image that is selected is in unison with the headline, or vice versa. It is the whole package= image+headline that results in a successfully communicated message and great brochure design.

The wrong layout
If you are designing a soft & friendly brochure, try not to overuse rectangles. Using too many rectangular elements within your brochure gives a rather isolating and limiting feeling................................................................................................
Less is more
You have three beautiful images that would look perfect as a cover for your brochure.
How do you decide where to fit them in the overall layout? Easy.
Choose only 1 image!
One single image can be so much more effective than using three images that you have to shrink and resize to fit them all into the perimeter. Do not be afraid thinking that, unless you use all of the three images that you have, the cover design will not be as effective. Quite the contrary.
Sometimes, the more you design & add the less and weaker the result may be. Let a single image do the work.
